As part of the onboarding process for migrating support and hosting clients, all Moodle installations must pass an e-Learn Design Health Check.

Suitable for those who want a basic assessment of their site as it stands, with recommendations for improvements. We will:

  • Consider theme in line with version upgrade requirements

  • Check plugins and suggest alternatives if appropriate

  • Assess scaffolding for site organisation and learner journey

  • Identify potential issues and suggest corrective action

  • Provide a short report of findings

Mini Check

  • Technical or Pedagogical

Suitable for all clients who want upgrade services for Moodle sites with no customised code modifications. We will:

  • Identify if additional plugins will impact on any upgrade

  • Check that the current theme will not be impacted

  • Recommend alternatives should issues be identified

  • Confirm that the server PHP version is appropriate

  • Provide a short report of findings

Full Check

  • Technical and Pedagogical

Required for all new clients who have Moodle sites with customised code modifications or non-standard plugins. We will:

  • Check the site against the latest Moodle codebase

  • Ensure that both setup version and role control are correct

  • Quote for corrective action should issues be identified

  • Perform a test upgrade prior to a live upgrade

  • Provide a full report of findings
